Working with SmoothCoders

You are based in India. How does that work for a business in the UAE?
It works in your favour on both cost and hours. India is only 90 minutes ahead of Gulf Standard Time, so our working day overlaps almost entirely with yours, you get replies during your own business hours, not overnight. You also get a full team of specialists for roughly what a single in-house hire or a Dubai agency retainer would cost. We have delivered projects for clients across the Gulf, Europe and North America, and every project runs with a named point of contact you can reach on WhatsApp.
How much does a website cost in the UAE?
It depends on scope, so we quote per project rather than publishing a price list that would be wrong for most people. A focused brochure or lead-generation site is a very different job from a property portal with live listing feeds or a hotel site with a connected booking engine. Tell us what you need on a short call and you will get a fixed written quote with a clear scope, timeline and payment schedule. No hourly surprises.
How long does a project take?
A focused business or landing site is typically two to four weeks. A real estate or hospitality site with third-party integrations usually runs four to eight weeks. A mobile app is generally eight to sixteen weeks depending on features. We give you a milestone plan at the start and show you working previews throughout, so you are never waiting in the dark.
Do you work in Arabic as well as English?
Yes. We build bilingual sites with full right-to-left Arabic layouts alongside English, including Arabic typography that actually reads well rather than a mirrored English design. We can work from Arabic copy you supply or coordinate professional translation. If you only need English at launch, we still structure the site so Arabic can be added later without a rebuild.
Who owns the website and the code once it is finished?
You do, completely. On final payment you receive full ownership of the code, the design files, and the hosting and domain accounts in your own name. We do not hold your site hostage on our own accounts, and there is no proprietary platform you are locked into. If you ever want to move to another team, everything hands over cleanly.
What happens after launch?
Every project includes a support window after go-live to fix anything that surfaces in real use, at no extra cost. Beyond that we offer optional monthly care plans covering hosting, security updates, backups, performance monitoring and a set allowance of content changes. Plenty of clients also keep us on for ongoing marketing and new features.
How do we communicate during the project?
Mostly on WhatsApp, because that is how business actually gets done in the UAE. You get a named project contact, a shared thread for quick questions, and a scheduled call at each milestone. Anything formal (scope, quotes, approvals) is confirmed in writing by email so there is always a record.
What are your payment terms?
Typically a deposit to start, one or more milestone payments tied to agreed deliverables, and the balance on launch. We invoice in AED or USD and accept international bank transfer. Everything is set out in the written quote before any work begins.

Website development

How much does website development cost in Dubai?
It depends on scope, so we quote per project instead of publishing a price list that would be wrong for most briefs. A focused business or lead-generation site is a different job from a multi-language corporate site or a portal with complex integrations. Share what you need and you get a fixed written quote with scope, timeline and payment schedule.
How long does it take to build a business website?
A focused marketing or brochure site is typically two to four weeks. Larger corporate sites with more pages, bilingual Arabic and integrations usually run four to eight weeks. You receive a milestone plan and working previews so progress is visible throughout.
Do you build Arabic (RTL) websites as well as English?
Yes. We deliver bilingual sites with proper right-to-left Arabic layouts and typography, not a mirrored English design with translated strings. If you launch in English only, we still structure the project so Arabic can be added later without a rebuild.
Which technology do you use for website development?
Most custom builds use Next.js for speed, SEO control and flexibility. WordPress is available when your team prefers a familiar CMS. We recommend the stack that fits your editing needs and growth plans, not a one-size default.
Is SEO included in website development?
Technical SEO foundations are part of every build: clean structure, metadata, performance, mobile usability and indexing readiness. Ongoing content SEO and local campaign work can be added as a separate marketing engagement if you want us to keep growing rankings after launch.
Who owns the website after it is finished?
You do. On final payment you own the code, design files, and the hosting and domain accounts in your name. There is no proprietary lock-in and no hostage hosting. If you change teams later, everything hands over cleanly.
Can the site connect to WhatsApp for enquiries?
Yes, and for UAE businesses it is usually essential. We set up clear WhatsApp CTAs, optional pre-filled messages, and forms that still capture leads when someone prefers not to chat immediately.
Do you offer maintenance after launch?
Every project includes a short post-launch support window. After that, optional care plans cover hosting help, updates, backups, monitoring and a monthly allowance for small content changes so the site does not quietly rot.

Digital marketing

Do you work on a monthly retainer?
Yes for ongoing SEO, ads and content. We also run fixed project scopes for audits, landing pages or a launch sprint. You get a written proposal with what is included, what is not, and how reporting works before anything starts.
How soon will we see results?
Paid ads can produce enquiries within days once tracking and creatives are live. SEO is a longer game: useful movement often shows in weeks to a few months depending on competition and site quality. We set expectations by channel in the plan, not a single magic date.
Can you create Arabic ads and creative?
Yes. We produce English and Arabic creative where your audience needs it, including RTL layouts for landing pages. Copy and visuals are reviewed so they feel native to UAE markets rather than machine-translated English.
What tracking do you set up?
Google Analytics or equivalent, conversion events for forms and WhatsApp where possible, and Google/Meta pixels with clear naming. You keep ownership of the accounts. We report cost and volume of enquiries, not just clicks and impressions.
What do you need from us to start?
A clear offer, who you sell to, current website access, brand assets if you have them, and access to ad or analytics accounts (or permission to create them under your name). A rough monthly media budget helps us recommend a realistic mix.
Do we need a new website first?
Not always. If the site loads well, explains the offer and captures WhatsApp or form leads, we can market it. If it cannot convert, we recommend fixing or rebuilding first, often through our website development work, so ad spend is not wasted.
Who owns the Google and Meta accounts?
You do. Campaigns run in accounts under your business. If we help create them, they are set up in your name from day one. There is no hostage access when the engagement ends.
Can marketing include WhatsApp follow-up?
Yes. For UAE businesses, getting the lead into WhatsApp or a simple CRM path is usually part of the job. We help with CTA setup, pre-filled messages and handoff so enquiries do not sit unanswered in a form inbox.

SEO

How long does SEO take to show results in Dubai?
Useful movement often appears in weeks to a few months depending on competition, site quality and how fast we can ship fixes and content. Competitive Dubai terms take longer. We set timeline bands in the plan by keyword theme, not a single magic date.
Do you work on a monthly SEO retainer?
Yes for ongoing technical work, content and reporting. We also run fixed project scopes for audits or a launch sprint of pages and fixes. You get a written proposal with what is included before anything starts.
Do you create Arabic SEO content?
Yes when your audience searches in Arabic. We plan bilingual page structure and content so Arabic is a proper RTL experience, not a bolted-on translation of English pages.
What do you need from us to start SEO?
Website access, a clear offer and locations you serve, Google Search Console and Analytics access (or permission to set them up under your name), and a short list of competitors. Brand guidelines help if content is in scope.
Is technical SEO included?
Yes. Crawl issues, indexation, speed, structured data and architecture are part of the work when they block rankings. If the site needs a rebuild, we flag that honestly and can handle it through website development.
Who owns Search Console and Analytics?
You do. Properties stay under your Google account. If we help create them, they are set up in your name from day one. There is no hostage access when the engagement ends.
Can SEO work with Google Ads at the same time?
Yes. Many UAE businesses use ads for near-term enquiries while SEO compounds. We can coordinate both through digital marketing, or keep SEO as a focused retainer if paid is handled elsewhere.
Do you guarantee number-one rankings?
No honest agency can. We commit to a clear scope, measurable work and reporting on visibility and enquiries. Guaranteed top rankings are a red flag in competitive Dubai markets.

Real estate digital solutions

What is included in the complete digital solution?
One connected stack for UAE real estate: a property website with live listings and community pages, a custom CRM built around your pipelines and agents, agent and buyer mobile apps, WhatsApp automation for routing and follow-up, lead generation flows (viewings, off-plan interest, campaigns), and SEO so organic search compounds. We scope which pieces you need first and how they connect.
Do you build the CRM yourselves, or only integrate tools like Zoho?
We build your CRM as part of the package — pipelines, listing ownership, viewing schedules, deal stages and reporting designed for how your brokerage actually works. Portal feeds from Property Finder, Bayut or Dubizzle can still sync into that system so you are not re-entering every listing.
What do the agent and buyer mobile apps do?
Agents get inventory, assigned leads, viewing calendars and push notifications on the road. Buyers or clients can save searches, track viewings and message the office or their agent. Both apps sit on the same data as the website and CRM, so nothing is out of sync.
How does WhatsApp automation work for property enquiries?
Every listing can open WhatsApp with the property reference pre-filled. Enquiries route to the listing agent or a central desk, with optional auto replies and follow-up sequences. High-intent chats also land in the CRM with full context so the pipeline stays complete even if someone is offline.
Will this help us rank for searches like "apartments for rent in JVC"?
Yes. SEO is part of the stack: indexable community and property-type pages, structured data, fast performance and content that competes for long-tail UAE searches — so you are not depending only on paid portal leads.
Can each agent have their own profile, leads and listings?
Yes. Agents get profile pages with RERA details and live inventory, CRM ownership of their leads, app access to their pipeline, and WhatsApp routing for enquiries on their listings. Office managers still see the full picture so nothing is lost when someone is on leave.

Hotel and restaurant websites

Can you connect a real booking engine to our website?
Yes. We integrate the major channel managers and booking engines used across the region, including SiteMinder, Cloudbeds, Little Hotelier and similar systems. Availability and rates stay in sync with the channel manager you already run, so there is no double-entry and no risk of overbooking. Guests complete the booking on your own site rather than being handed off to a third party.
How much do we actually save by taking direct bookings?
Online travel agents typically take between fifteen and twenty-five per cent of each booking. Every reservation that comes through your own site keeps that margin in your business. You do not need to replace the OTAs (they are useful for discovery), but shifting even a modest share of repeat and direct guests to your own site usually pays for the website itself within the first few months. We will happily run the numbers against your own booking volume on a call.
Will the site work for a restaurant rather than a hotel?
Yes, and the priorities are different. For restaurants we focus on the menu being fast, readable and genuinely mobile-first, table reservations that take seconds, WhatsApp ordering, delivery platform links, and strong photography of the room and the food. We also set up your local search presence properly, since that is where most restaurant discovery in the UAE begins.
Can guests take a virtual tour of the rooms?
Yes. We support 360-degree room tours, video walkthroughs and full-screen galleries, all built to load quickly so they do not drive visitors away on a mobile connection. For hotels and holiday homes this consistently lifts direct booking conversion, because the guest can satisfy themselves about the space before committing.
Do you handle multiple languages for international guests?
Yes. Hospitality sites in the UAE serve a genuinely international audience, so we commonly build in English and Arabic with the option to add Russian, Hindi or Chinese. Each language gets properly structured URLs and hreflang markup so search engines serve the right version to the right guest.
Can we run our own offers and seasonal rates?
Yes. You get an admin area where you can publish offers, packages and seasonal promotions yourself, apply promo codes, and set date-limited campaigns for Ramadan, Eid, National Day or peak winter season without needing to come back to us each time.

Shopify and e-commerce

Why Shopify rather than something custom?
For most UAE retail and D2C brands, Shopify gets you to market faster and cheaper, and it handles the parts that are genuinely hard (payments, security, PCI compliance, uptime during a campaign spike) better than a custom build would. We reserve custom development for cases where the business model genuinely demands it. If Shopify is the wrong fit for what you are doing, we will tell you.
Can you set up cash on delivery and local payment methods?
Yes, and this matters more here than in most markets. Cash on delivery is still a meaningful share of UAE e-commerce, so we configure it properly with order verification to control fraud and failed deliveries. We also set up card payments through the gateways that work well regionally, and buy-now-pay-later options such as Tabby and Tamara, which lift average order value noticeably on higher-priced items.
Do you migrate an existing store?
Yes. We migrate products, variants, images, customer records, order history and content from WooCommerce, Magento, Wix, Squarespace or an older Shopify theme. The critical piece is redirect mapping so you do not lose the search rankings you already have, and we treat that as part of the job rather than an optional extra.
What is Shopify Plus and do we need it?
Plus is Shopify's enterprise tier, adding checkout customisation, higher API limits, multiple storefronts for different markets and dedicated support. It is worth it for high-volume merchants or brands running several regional storefronts. Most growing UAE brands do not need it yet, and we will say so rather than upselling you into a tier you cannot use.
Can you help with delivery and logistics integration?
Yes. We connect the couriers commonly used across the Emirates so orders, labels and tracking flow automatically instead of being copied by hand. We also set up delivery zones and rates for Dubai, the northern Emirates and GCC shipping, which is usually where margin quietly leaks if it is configured carelessly.
Will the store be set up to rank in search?
Yes. Technical SEO is part of the build rather than something sold separately: clean URL structure, product and collection schema, fast image delivery, proper metadata and a site architecture search engines can crawl. We can also take on ongoing content and SEO work if you want to compete for category terms rather than relying on paid traffic.

All-in-one digital partner

What exactly is included in the all-in-one package?
Your website, your mobile app and your ongoing digital marketing, delivered by one team under one plan. In practice that means design and build of the site, an iOS and Android app that shares the same content and branding, and the marketing that drives people to both: search optimisation, paid campaigns and social. The exact mix is shaped around your business on the first call; nobody needs all of it in month one.
Is this actually cheaper than hiring three separate agencies?
Usually yes, and the saving is larger than the invoice difference suggests. You pay one team rather than three overheads, the app reuses design and backend work already done for the website instead of starting from scratch, and you stop paying for the hours everyone spends coordinating with each other. The bigger saving is your own time: one relationship to manage instead of three, and nobody able to blame the other two when something breaks.
Do I have to take everything at once?
No. Most clients start with the website, add the app once the site is live and generating traffic, then layer marketing on top. Phasing it spreads the cost and means each stage is informed by real data from the previous one. The advantage of one partner is that the sequencing is planned from day one, so nothing has to be rebuilt to accommodate what comes next.
Who is my point of contact?
One named account manager for everything, reachable on WhatsApp. They coordinate the developers, designers and marketers internally so you never have to. You raise something once and it gets to the right person, rather than repeating yourself to three different vendors and hoping they talk to each other.
How do you report on results?
You get a monthly report covering the things that actually matter (enquiries, calls, WhatsApp conversations, bookings or orders) rather than a wall of vanity metrics. It comes with a short call to walk through what worked, what did not, and what we are changing next month. You also get dashboard access to check performance whenever you like.
Can you take over a website or app someone else built?
Often yes. We start with a technical audit to see what is salvageable. Sometimes the existing build is sound and we improve it; sometimes rebuilding is genuinely cheaper than maintaining what is there. We will give you an honest assessment either way, including when the honest answer is that you do not need us yet.

Mobile app development

Does a small business in the UAE really need its own app?
Not every business does, and we will say so. An app earns its place when you have repeat customers: a restaurant with regulars, a salon with recurring bookings, a retailer with a loyalty programme, a brokerage whose clients browse over weeks. In those cases the app cuts your commission to delivery and booking platforms, gives you a push notification channel you own, and keeps you on the customer's home screen. If your customers buy from you once and never return, your money is better spent elsewhere.
How much does a mobile app cost?
Far less than the enterprise figures people expect, because we build cross-platform. One codebase produces both the iOS and Android app, so you are not paying twice for the same features. We scope to a genuine first version that solves one clear problem well, get it into your customers' hands, then build on what they actually use rather than guessing up front. You get a fixed written quote before anything starts.
Will it be on both the App Store and Google Play?
Yes, and we handle the submission process, which is where most first-time app owners get stuck. That includes developer account setup, store listings, screenshots, privacy declarations and navigating Apple's review requirements. The app is published under your own developer accounts so you own the listings outright.
Can the app connect to my existing website or POS?
Usually yes. We routinely connect apps to Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, restaurant POS systems and property CRMs so products, menus, listings, stock and orders stay in sync automatically. If your current system has no API at all, we will tell you honestly what it will take to bridge it before you commit.
Can we send push notifications to customers?
Yes, and it is one of the strongest reasons to have an app. You can announce offers, confirm bookings, update order status or re-engage lapsed customers without paying for reach. We set up segmentation so you can target sensibly by customer behaviour instead of blasting everyone, which is the fastest way to get an app deleted.
What about updates after launch?
Apps need more ongoing attention than websites, because Apple and Google change their requirements regularly and an app that stops working on a new iOS version disappears from use quickly. Our care plans cover OS compatibility updates, store compliance, bug fixes, monitoring and a monthly allowance for small improvements.

OTT development

How much does OTT platform development cost for a UAE business?
We use three fixed packages: Basic for an MVP on one platform, Premium for web plus iOS and Android with subscriptions, and Advanced for enterprise features such as DRM and live streaming. Exact scope is confirmed in a written quote after a short WhatsApp or call discovery — no Dubai agency markup.
How long does it take to build an OTT app?
Basic MVPs typically take eight to ten weeks. Premium multi-platform builds usually run twelve to sixteen weeks. Advanced platforms with DRM, live and recommendations often take sixteen weeks or more depending on catalog size and integrations. You get a milestone plan and working previews throughout.
Which platforms do you support?
We build responsive web, Android and iOS. Basic can focus on one platform; Premium and Advanced include web plus mobile. Smart TV apps can be scoped as an add-on if you need them later.
Do you include video hosting and CDN for UAE viewers?
Yes. We integrate cloud storage and CDN so playback stays smooth as your catalog and audience grow. Providers are chosen for your region and budget, and you own the accounts on final payment.
Can my team manage content after launch?
Yes. Every package includes an admin panel to upload videos, manage categories and users, and — on Premium and Advanced — subscription plans, without needing a developer for day-to-day content ops. We train your team at handoff.
Do you help with payments and subscriptions in the UAE?
Premium and Advanced include subscription plans and payment gateway integration. We set up plan tiers, billing cycles and access control for paid content, using gateways that fit your banking and audience.
Who owns the OTT platform once it is finished?
You do. On final payment you receive full ownership of the code, store listings and cloud accounts in your name. There is no proprietary lock-in — if you ever change teams, everything hands over cleanly.
